For many years KET concentrates on the development of new and sophisticated products made of silicone. At the end of 2017 the new production method of 3D silicone plotting was filed for patent.
It is a silicone grid which can be produced continuously and does not need the application of a second layer. "This means that we are able to plot a silicone body which is a complete grid, a finished product right with the first layer. This version is a further development of the already used formation algorithm. Thanks to this improvement we were able to eliminate existing teething problems", explains Janis Hildebrand who is the silicone specialist at KET.
Manifold fields of applications
Our innovative process enables the production of infinite silicone grids. Projects can be realized fast and it is cost saving compared to other production methods. The form of the grids can be adapted to every customer's special requirements. This means as well that these grids can be produced as special wound dressings for the medical sector. Furthermore, the first projects were already started to use this for industrial applications. There the focus is on the coating of textile materials where the silicone is used as anti-slip.
